Good question. But the 4G limitation is only for one process during memory addressing. The OS can manage lager memory than 4G.
Here is the table
OS | MAX MEM |
---|---|
Windows XP Professional | 4G |
Windows Server 2003 | 4G |
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition | 32G |
Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition | 64G |
Windows 2000 Professional | 4G |
Windows 2000 Advanced Serve | 8G |
Windows 2000 Datacenter Edition | 32G |
